Synopsis...
Local Gulf winds this morning are east at 10 to 15 knots with seas from 3 to 4 feet at 5 seconds. Light to moderate east southeast winds and low seas are expected along the Lower Texas coast through early Thursday morning as ther remains little difference in surface pressure in the region. Swells from Ike are forecast to increase around Thursday morning and remain above Small Craft Advisory criteria through Saturday morning. Mariners should continue to monitor the latest track and intensity forecasts of Hurricane Ike during the next several days.
