Synopsis...
High pressure will build into the area through the end of the week. For the weekend and beyond...the wind and sea state forecast will depend largely on the forecast track of Tropical Storm Gustav. Gustav is forecast increase to a hurricane and to move into the Gulf of Mexico to near the mouth of the Mississippi River on Monday. Mariners who plan to venture into the open waters early next week should closely monitor the National Hurricane Center forecasts concerning Gustav.
